AI training for law firms

A paralegal pastes a live client matter into a free chatbot to speed up research, and privileged facts quietly leave the firm. AI training for law firms exists to stop exactly that. Learnery makes your whole practice, from paralegals and legal secretaries to associates, intake and billing staff, safely and effectively fluent in AI in about one hour, so people use it well without gambling with confidentiality or accuracy.

For a whole team or just you. About one hour, one time payment, and a certificate you keep.

Tailored to every role

Why does a law firm need AI training right now?

People in your firm are almost certainly using AI already, often quietly and with no guidance. A paralegal asks a chatbot to summarise a judgment, an associate drafts a clause with it, a secretary tidies a letter. Done well this saves real hours. Done blindly it invents case citations, misstates the law, or exposes privileged information. AI training for law firms replaces guesswork with a shared, safe method, so the whole practice works to one standard instead of improvising in private.

Will staff learn to use AI without risking client confidentiality?

Yes, and that is the entire purpose of the second step of the seminar, safe use at work. Learnery teaches people what should never be pasted into a public tool, how to recognise a confident but wrong answer, and why every AI drafted citation or fact must be checked against the source before it reaches a client or a court. Through live chat roleplay, staff rehearse these judgment calls on realistic situations rather than reading a policy they will forget.

What will each role in our firm actually learn?

The fourth and fifth steps adapt the training to legal practice and then to each person's job, so the examples match the work in front of them. The same one hour lands differently across the firm.

RoleWhat they practise with AI
Paralegals & ResearchFaster case and statute summaries, a first pass at document review, and research memos they then verify.
Legal SecretariesCleaner correspondence, tidy formatting, and quick drafts for scheduling and calendars.
AssociatesFirst drafts of clauses and briefs, plus a second read on reasoning that they still check.
Client Intake & RelationsSharper intake questions, plain language explanations for clients, and warmer follow ups.
Billing & Office AdminClearer time entry narratives, invoice descriptions, and routine office templates.

What is inside the one hour seminar?

Every person takes one interactive seminar of five steps, with an AI tutor to answer questions and a prompt lab to practise on live AI:

  1. AI foundations: what these tools are and where they genuinely help.
  2. Safe use at work: confidentiality, accuracy and verification.
  3. Everyday prompting: how to ask for useful, reliable output.
  4. Industry adaptation: examples drawn from legal practice.
  5. Role adaptation: prompts tuned to each person's daily tasks.

It ends with a verifiable completion certificate for every person who finishes.

How does Learnery support the EU AI Act AI literacy duty?

Article 4 of the EU AI Act asks organisations that use AI to make sure their staff reach a sufficient level of AI literacy, and supervision of that duty begins on 2 August 2026. Learnery is built to support it, delivering structured training on safe and effective AI use and recording who completed it.

The certificate is a record of training delivered, not a legal determination of compliance. No fine is attached specifically to Article 4, and a certificate is not legally required. Learnery helps your firm meet the literacy duty; it does not make the firm compliant on its own.

What does it cost, and can a single lawyer train alone?

Learnery is 39 euro per seat, paid once, with no subscription and volume discounts for larger teams. You can buy it either way. A managing partner or office manager buys seats and invites paralegals, secretaries, associates, intake staff and billing admins by email, then tracks completion from a dashboard. Or a solo practitioner pays for one seat and trains alone. The seminar runs in six languages, so a mixed team can each work in the language they think in.

Frequently asked questions

How long does Learnery's AI training take?
About one hour per person. It is a single interactive seminar of five steps that each employee completes in one sitting, ending with a verifiable completion certificate.
Is it safe for staff to use AI on confidential client matters after this training?
The training teaches exactly that judgment: what must never be pasted into public tools, how to spot a wrong answer, and why every AI drafted citation or fact is checked against the source before it reaches a client or a court. It reduces risk, but it does not replace your firm's own confidentiality rules.
Does Learnery make our firm compliant with the EU AI Act?
No training can do that on its own. Learnery supports the AI literacy duty in Article 4 of the EU AI Act by delivering structured training and recording completion. The certificate is proof of training delivered, not a legal determination of compliance, and no fine is attached specifically to Article 4.
What does it cost for a small firm?
39 euro per seat, paid once, with no subscription. Volume discounts apply for larger teams. A manager buys seats and invites staff, or a single lawyer buys one seat and trains alone.
Which roles in the firm is the training for?
Everyone who touches client work or the back office, including Paralegals & Research, Legal Secretaries, Associates, Client Intake & Relations, and Billing & Office Admin. The final step tunes the examples to each person's daily tasks.
